Senior Pastor Jack Wolfe

Hey,
My name is Jack Wolfe.  I am a husband, father, grandfather and the Pastor of Epic Faith. I have been in the ministry since 1985. I served as a youth pastor for 2½ years before moving my wife and two sons to Duluth, Georgia where we, as a family, pioneered a church. We named the church Calvary Christian Fellowship. We worked hard as a family and a congregation to make a difference in the lives of the people we served over those 18 years.

During the past few years I have gone through many changes personally in my faith and in many ways have discovered a new and fresh relationship with the Lord. In 2006 we purchased a Swim-Tennis club on 6 acres, devoting more attention to the needs of our community. We embraced the change in us and renamed our church Epic Faith. To try to fill in all the blanks would be difficult (to say the least), but my wife says it well in her article “Why Epic” on this site so you can read it all there.

We are involved in one of the greatest stories ever written and it is being written by the best author, the Lord God. We all play a part in this story and no part is better than the other. All parts add color and shape, texture and beauty to this Epic of a story.  The story has ups and downs, comedy, drama, mystery and intrigue. No one person has it figured out. We simply enjoy the journey alongside of others in life.

The changes we have faced over the past few years have led me to join our congregation in working a job outside of my ministry role, so during the week you won’t find me at the church behind a desk managing church business, or reading and praying. I do all of that, but during the week, you will find me at The Standard Club where I am an Assistant Golf Professional. Employment outside of the church realm helps me to better understand the life challenges that are faced by those I serve, and it frees funds to reach the community.

As the pastor, my calling is to cultivate faith and to encourage each person to find and enjoy their unique role in this story. I am a down-to-earth kind of guy and I am learning not to take myself too seriously. I have grown through adversity, testing, and difficulty, just like the rest of you. I am learning what it means to humbly follow Jesus. I try to take all my questions to Him. I have learned that the most important people in my life are my family members, and I cherish the role that they play in my life and me in theirs.

I love the Church and the world in which we live and look forward to meeting new folks that find themselves in the story we find ourselves in. Let’s get together and share some old stories and make some new ones. Pastor Jack Wolfe
